How to return a kit

  1. Email support@kithappens.store
    Include your order number (it's in your confirmation email, starts with #) and a quick line on what's wrong.
  2. We respond within 24 hours
    Real human reads it, replies, and sends a UK return address. We don't bounce you to a self-service form.
  3. Pop it in the post
    Keep the original packaging if you can. Royal Mail tracked is fine, keep your receipt and we'll cover the postage on quality issues.
  4. Refund processed within 5 working days of receipt
    Back to the original card. Bank can take a couple of extra days to settle.

Quick answers

What can I NOT return?

Two things: (1) kits with custom name & number printed (UK CCR 2013 personalisation exception), (2) anything obviously worn, washed, sweated through, mud on it. Damaged-on-arrival is a different conversation, email us and we sort it.

Do I pay return postage?

Quality issue (something was wrong with the kit), we cover return postage. Change-of-mind return, you cover postage. Royal Mail second class is usually around £4 for a kit-sized parcel, totally fine.

How fast is the refund?

We process within 5 working days of receiving your return. Then your bank takes 1-3 working days to put it back on the card. So worst case ~10 working days door-to-door, usually faster.

Can I exchange instead of refund?

Yes, just say so in your email. We do refund + new order rather than literal swap because it's faster and more reliable. You don't lose anything.

What if it's a Christmas gift and the receiver wants a different size?

Email us with the original order number, we extend the change-of-mind window to 30 January for orders placed 1 November onwards. Just ask.
